About · The Lab

A small lab.
A serious method.

TechBricks is a research-and-teaching lab building courses in machine learning, deep learning, and AI engineering, the way working scientists actually learn; concept by concept, brick by brick. We exist because the field deserves better than tutorials.

Why we started this

AI education is broken in a very specific way.

Most AI courses optimize for the wrong thing. They optimize for completion; number of videos watched, number of cells run. They don't optimize for the only thing that matters: can you actually rebuild this from scratch tomorrow?

That's how you get learners who finish a deep-learning course and still can't explain a Transformer. Or finish an LLM bootcamp and still treat agents like magic. The pedagogy is backwards.

We started TechBricks to do the opposite; to teach AI the way scientists actually learn it: deconstructed into the smallest understandable pieces, then reconstructed by hand until it's yours forever.

Bricks. Walls. Castles. Deconstruct. Reconstruct. Own it.

The team

Built by scientists. Pressure-tested by engineers.

Trust comes from credentials and tone, not testimonials. So we'll show you the lab the way a research lab would.

Dr. Mollakazemi

Lead Instructor · Founder · Lead Scientist

15+ years across academia and industry. Background in applied ML, NLP, and large-scale production AI systems. Designs every brick.

Dr. Vaziri

Project lead · Curriculum creator

10+ years across academia and industry. Shapes the curriculum architecture and keeps every course aligned with how scientists actually learn.

Curriculum Lab

Curriculum & Pedagogy

Working scientists and senior engineers who pressure-test every lab. If a brick can't be defended in writing, it doesn't ship.

The Build Team

Engineering & Tooling

Builds the platform, the labs, and the auto-graders. Same brick → wall → castle discipline applied to our own codebase.

How we work

The principles every brick is built on.

  • Concept-first. Code-second. Always.
  • Framework-light by design.
  • From scratch before any abstraction.
  • Cloud or local; your choice.
  • Cite the math. Show the work.
  • No fake scarcity. No countdown timers.
  • Lifetime updates as the field evolves.
  • If we can't defend it, we don't teach it.
